Description
Our flag of North Korea is manufactured in the United States from nylon, a lightweight fabric that flies regally even in gentle breezes. Nylon is also quick-drying, which helps prevent mildew growth after rain and high humidity. The red, white, and blue design is created using advanced digital printing technology, ensuring accurate details and vibrant, fade-resistant colors that resist damage from sun exposure.
These North Korea flags come equipped with a sturdy canvas header and brass grommets for secure attachment to any of our outdoor flagpoles. We offer the North Korean flag in a variety of sizes from the small 2’ by 3’ up to 6’ by 10’, including the standard 3’ by 5’. If you're unsure which flag size is right for you, refer to our table of standard flagpole heights and the recommended size for each.

North Korea Flag Meaning & History
North and South Korea both initially used the Taegukgi, which is still South Korea’s national flag today. Following World War II, Korea was liberated from Japanese control, with the northern half assigned to the Soviet Union and the southern half to the US. In 1947, the Soviet Union decided that North Korea should have a new flag, which was adopted as the national flag when the country gained independence in 1948.
The red star on North Korea’s flag is traditionally associated with communism, a symbol that has been kept despite the North Korean government’s switch to the Juche ideology. The red field represents revolution, the blue stripes symbolize peace and friendship, and the white lines stand for unity.
