Description
Our EC30 external halyard flagpole is manufactured in the USA from strong, weather-resistant aluminum. This 30’ flagpole is an excellent choice for displays in front of one- or two-story buildings, and its external halyard mechanism makes hoisting flags easy.
You can choose between four pole finishes: satin, clear anodized, bronze anodized, and black anodized. We recommend selecting one of the anodized options if you install this pole near the coast or salt water. Please note that anodization will add additional time to the flagpole production.
This 30 ft flagpole is rated to withstand winds up to 120 mph while flying a flag and up to 211 mph when no flags are attached. Check the wind speeds in your area before purchasing your flagpole.
Each 25' External Halyard Flagpole w/ Collar Includes
- Gold anodized aluminum ball ornament
- Cast aluminum revolving truck
- Solid braided polypropylene halyard
- Swivel flag snaps with vinyl snap covers
- Cast aluminum cleat with mounting screws
- Spun aluminum flash collar
- Galvanized steel foundation sleeve
How to Install this Flagpole & Necessary Materials
Installing an in-ground flagpole is not easy! If you are unsure about any step, please contact professionals in your area. View our mounting guide below for instructions and a list of needed materials.
This 30-foot flag pole does not include necessary tools and supplies, including concrete, sand, stone, caulking, and lock-tight.
The foundation hole for this pole should be three to four times wider than the pole’s 6” butt diameter. The hole depth must also be 10% of the pole’s height, which would be 3 feet.
Assess your intended location for overhead power lines or underground utilities.
What Size Flag Should I Use for a 30-foot Flagpole?
When flying one flag, its length should generally be about ¼ of the pole’s height. For 30 ft flag poles, we recommend using 5’ by 8’ flags.
Call us if you want to change the truck, ornament, halyard, or cleat cover on this pole.

Flagpole Finishes
Satin Finish
Satin is the most common and widely specified finish in the flagpole industry. Created during the polishing process, this brushed finish provides a smooth, consistent appearance with an elegant, low-gloss sheen. Satin-finished flagpoles are low maintenance, highly resistant to corrosion, and complement virtually any architectural style.
Anodized Finishes
Standard anodized finishes include Clear, Bronze, and Black.
Anodizing is an electrochemical process that creates a durable aluminum oxide layer on the surface of the flagpole. This protective finish enhances durability, increases resistance to weather and environmental exposure, and provides superior corrosion protection, making it an excellent choice for coastal and other harsh environments.
Because the anodized layer becomes an integral part of the aluminum itself, it will not chip, flake, or peel like painted finishes.
Lead Time
Anodized finishes require an additional manufacturing process and typically add 6 to 8 weeks to production time. This process cannot be expedited.
