Description
With our 40-foot flag pole, you can set up an impressive display in front of your school, park, or business! This pole features an internal halyard system, protecting the halyard from the elements and your flag from vandalism.
Our flag poles are manufactured in the United States out of aluminum, a strong, weather-resistant metal. You can install this 40’ flag pole in its base satin finish or add an anodized coating. We recommend anodization for any poles to be installed near the coast or bodies of saltwater. Please note that anodization is a secondary process and will increase production time.
Fly confidently thanks to this flagpole’s wind rating of 91 mph while flags are attached to the halyard. During more extreme weather, any flags should be taken down, which will also increase the wind rating to 125 mph.
Each 40' Internal Halyard Flagpole w/ Collar Includes

- Beaded retainer ring
- Spun aluminum flash collar

Internal Halyard Pulley System
Our 40 ft flagpole uses an internal halyard system, which conceals most of the halyard inside the pole. This particular flagpole features a pulley and cleat setup as an economical alternative to our deluxe winch-operated poles.
This flagpole works by running the wire center halyard through the stationary truck and across a halyard block. At the bottom of the pole, the halyard is tied to a cam-action cleat secured behind a lockable access door.
How to Install this Flagpole & Necessary Materials
Please exercise extreme caution when installing a 40-foot flag pole. If you are unsure about any step, seek professional help. The complete installation guide and materials list are provided below.
This 40’ flagpole set does not include certain necessary tools and supplies, including concrete, sand, stone, caulking, and lock-tight.
Assess the mounting area before starting installation to ensure it is clear of any obstructions or utilities.
What Size Flag Should I Use for a 40-foot Flagpole?
An easy way to estimate what flag size to use for any given pole is to choose a flag with a length of about one-fourth of the pole’s total height. For a 40 ft pole, we recommend using an 8’ x 12’ flag.
Call us if you need to customize this flagpole with a different truck, halyard, or cleat cover.

Flagpole Finishes
Satin Finish
Satin is the most common and widely specified finish in the flagpole industry. Created during the polishing process, this brushed finish provides a smooth, consistent appearance with an elegant, low-gloss sheen. Satin-finished flagpoles are low maintenance, highly resistant to corrosion, and complement virtually any architectural style.
Anodized Finishes
Standard anodized finishes include Clear, Bronze, and Black.
Anodizing is an electrochemical process that creates a durable aluminum oxide layer on the surface of the flagpole. This protective finish enhances durability, increases resistance to weather and environmental exposure, and provides superior corrosion protection, making it an excellent choice for coastal and other harsh environments.
Because the anodized layer becomes an integral part of the aluminum itself, it will not chip, flake, or peel like painted finishes.
Lead Time
Anodized finishes require an additional manufacturing process and typically add 6 to 8 weeks to production time. This process cannot be expedited.
