An internal halyard flagpole can help reduce the risk of vandalism and of the rope getting caught or tangled on nearby objects. Plus, internal poles have the benefit of being quieter than external halyard flagpoles, on which flag snaps can bang against the pole when it’s windy.

The method of controlling access to the internal winching system can be customized to suit your needs best. We offer both traditional lock-and-key and M-winch systems. An M-winch uses a removable handle that must be inserted to raise or lower the flag. This system is a low-maintenance option that doesn’t need regular lubrication.

Aluminum is a great general-purpose flagpole material due to its durability and corrosion resistance. Choose between four different finishes for your aluminum pole to match the look of surrounding buildings. Consider having your pole anodized if it’s going to be installed near a body of saltwater, which will help protect against oxidation. If you are located in a region with high winds, we recommend installing a fiberglass pole instead. A fiberglass flagpole is flexible, allowing it to withstand higher wind speeds.

A 40-foot flagpole is ideal for displays in front of three- to four-story buildings. Generally, a flagpole should be just a bit taller than nearby structures to achieve an optimal proportion.

Note that freight charges apply to shipping these flagpoles. Please contact us for a quote, or we will provide one after you place your order.
