Description

Our Ugandan flag is manufactured in America from nylon, a tough and lightweight fabric that flies regally, even in gentle breezes. The stripes and crane are digitally printed for accuracy and vibrant colors. This flag is also printed with fade-resistant inks to help protect against sun damage.

These flags come equipped with a robust canvas header and brass grommets for simple attachment to any standard outdoor flagpole. We offer Uganda flags in sizes 2’ x 3’, 3’ x 5’, 4’ x 6’, 5’ x 8’, and 6’ x 10’. The 3’ x 5’ flag is a bestseller among our customers and fits great on our 6’ tangle-free flagpole.

Uganda Flag Meaning & History

The modern Ugandan flag was adopted on October 9, 1962, replacing the British Blue Ensign that had previously represented the region. The black stripes represent the people of Africa, the yellow stripes are for sunshine, and the red stripes are for the color of blood, which all Africans and diasporic communities share.

In the center is a gray crowned crane, which had previously been used as the colonial badge during British rule. The crane symbolizes gentleness, and its raised leg stands for progress and movement.
