Description
These American Samoa flags are produced in the USA from nylon, a lightweight fabric designed for outdoor flying. Nylon is a quick-drying material that helps prevent mildew growth following rain and high humidity. The design is digitally printed for accuracy and bold, fade-resistant colors.
Each flag comes equipped with a durable canvas header and brass grommets for quick attachment to one of our outdoor flagpoles. We offer the American Samoa flag in sizes 12” x 18”, 2’ x 3’, 3’ x 5’, 4’ x 6’, 5’ x 8’, and 6’ x 10’. Refer to our table of pole heights and their proportional flag sizes if you aren’t sure which option is right for you.

American Samoa Flag Meaning & History
The current flag of America Samoa is based on a winning submission to a local flag design competition held in 1959, drawn by high school student Fareti Sotoa. The flag was officially adopted on April 17, 1960.
The red, white, and blue color scheme refers to the American flag. On the right is a bald eagle, representing US ownership of the islands. In its talons are a uatogi, a club that symbolizes power, and a fue, a fly swatter that stands for wisdom.
