Description

Celebrate America’s oldest military branch by flying an authentic Army flag.

Our US Army flags are proudly made in the United States using your choice of high-quality nylon or polyester material. The branch seal is digitally printed on our flags, creating bold, vivid colors that are fade-resistant, even when flown in direct sunlight. Each flag comes equipped with a strong canvas header and brass grommets for easy flying from any of our outdoor flagpoles.

Flags.com is an approved government contractor under CAGE Code 1RQN6 and DUNS #80-318-6824. We are proud to provide American-made display materials for the US Armed Forces through both CONUS and OCONUS shipments.

Army Flag Features

Nylon Army Flags

Our most popular material option is nylon, a durable and weather-resistant fabric generally used in flag construction. Nylon is a lightweight fabric that flies regally in mild winds, and dries quickly after rain to help prevent mildew growth.

We offer the nylon USA Army flag in sizes 12” x 18”, 2’ x 3’, 3’ x 5’, 4’ x 6’, 5’ x 8’, and 6’ x 10’. The 3’ by 5’ is our bestselling option and is an excellent fit for our 6’ tangle-free pole

Polyester Army Flags

The polyester version of our United States Army flag is built for rugged conditions. If you live on the coast or regularly experience high winds, consider using a polyester flag instead of nylon.

We carry the polyester Army flag in the size 3’ by 5’. Please note that polyester flags are heavier than nylon and not designed for most house-mounted flagpoles. Instead, we recommend flying this flag on 20-foot-tall in-ground poles

Are you planning to display this flag indoors or in a parade? We recommend using our American Army flag finished with gold fringe.

Army Flag Meaning & History

President Dwight D. Eisenhower officially adopted the flag of the United States Army on June 12, 1956. The flag is decorated with the branch’s emblem and the motto “This We’ll Defend.”

The Roman cuirass in the branch seal symbolizes strength and defense; the sword represents the Army's weaponry; the drum and drumsticks signify an intention to serve the Nation and its people; the Cap of Liberty, motto, and the scroll held by a rattlesnake are often found on American colonial flags and declare the Army’s readiness to defend and preserve the United States.
