Description
Celebrate the beautiful islands of the Bahamas with our high-quality, American-made Bahamian flag!
This national flag of the Bahamas is manufactured in the United States using nylon, a fray- and weather-resistant material designed for outdoor flying. Nylon is tough yet lightweight, allowing it to fly regally in gentle breezes. Its lightness additionally means it dries quickly after becoming wet from rain or humidity, helping prevent mildew growth. The triangle and striped design are digitally printed with UV-resistant inks for bright, vibrant colors that resist fading, even when flown in direct sunlight.
Our Bahamas country flag comes equipped with a sturdy canvas header and brass grommets for safe and secure attachment to an outdoor flagpole. We offer this flag in a variety of sizes; if you aren’t sure which option is right for you, refer to our table of common flagpole heights and their recommended flag size. The 3’ by 5’ flag is our most popular size and a great match for our house-mounted tangle-free flagpole.

Bahamas Flag Colors, Meaning & History
The flag of the Bahamas was first adopted on July 10, 1973, when the country formally gained independence from the British Empire. A nationwide competition had been held to source possible designs, but the government decided to combine elements from the submitted designs for the new Bahamian flag. In 2006, the flag's colors were standardized.
The colors of the Bahamas national flag all have a specific meaning. The aqua stripes symbolize the water surrounding the Bahama islands. The yellow stripe down the middle represents the sun, sand, and land within the islands. The black triangle signifies the people of the Bahamas and their strength, with its direction towards the stripes representing the determination of the Bahamian people to cultivate resources from the land and sea.
