Purple Heart Day
On August 7th we make it a special point to honor those who have been awarded the Purple Heart. These service men and women were wounded or killed on or after April 5, 1917 in pursuit of our freedom. They have gone above and beyond what normal duty calls for in combat. While they should be honored each and every day, the 7th is a day to take an extra moment to thank them and honor them. We encourage everyone to take a minute of their day to reflect upon what the honorees have done us and thank them for their sacrifices. To all those who have served, we thank you. You are not forgotten.
