Description

Our Burundi flag is produced in the United States from high-quality nylon, a fray and weather-resistant material. Nylon is a light fabric, meaning that it can fly even in gentle breezes and dry quickly after rain. The saltire design is digitally printed for vibrant, UV-resistant colors.

Each flag has a sturdy canvas header and brass grommets for secure and easy attachment to any of our outdoor flagpoles. We offer this flag in sizes 2’ x 3’, 3’ x 5’, 4’ x 6’, 5’ x 8’, and 6’ x 10’. Our best-selling 3’ x 5’ size is an excellent fit for our 6’ house-mounted pole.

Burundi Flag Features

We also offer an indoor Burundi flag that comes elegantly accented with gold fringe and includes a pole sleeve for distinguished displays.

Burundi Flag Meaning & History

The national flag of Burundi was adopted on June 28, 1967, following the country’s independence from Belgium in 1962. The flag’s dimensions were modified in 1982, which remains the current design.

The white saltire represents peace, the green fields stand for hope and progress, and the red is for the nation’s struggles for independence. The three stars in the center symbolize the three majority ethnic groups of Burundi: the Hutu, Twa, and Tutsi.
