Description
Fly this Delaware state flag with pride and honor the first state to ratify the U.S. Constitution.
Our American-made Delaware flags are made using lightweight nylon fabric that flies easily, even in mild winds. Nylon’s lightness allows it to dry quickly after wet weather, helping prevent mildew growth and water damage. Each flag is printed with high-quality, UV-resistant ink for added weather and fade resistance.
Thanks to its durable canvas header and brass grommets, this state flag of Delaware will attach quickly and securely to an outdoor flagpole. We offer this flag in a wide range of sizes. To determine which best suits your flag display setup, take a look at our table of pole heights and matching flag sizes.

Delaware Flag Meaning & History
The Delaware state flag was adopted on July 24, 1931, and references the colonial era when Delaware was one of the original 13 colonies. Delaware was the first state to ratify the US Constitution and the first state to enter the union officially. The date on the bottom of the flag, December 7, 1787, honors this event.
The colonial blue field and the buff-colored diamond represent the uniform colors General George Washington wore. The diamond shape references Delaware's early nickname, the Diamond State, which was used because of Delaware's great value and small geographic size. The coat of arms depicts early occupational symbols for shipping, farming, hunting, and cattle ranching.
