Nylon is a quick-drying material that helps prevent mildew buildup after rain and humid weather. The distinctive design is digitally printed to create vibrant, fade-resistant colors, even under direct sunlight.

Eritrea Flag Meaning & History

Following colonization by the Italian and British Empires, Eritrea was added to Ethiopia as an autonomous state in 1952. However, over the following decade, Ethiopian Emperor Halie Selassie dissolved the Eritrean government and occupied the region. The modern flag is based on that of the Eritrean People’s Liberation Front, an organization that fought for independent self-rule. Eritrea won the war and became independent in 1993.

The red triangle refers to the country's geographic shape and represents the bloodshed in the struggle for independence. The green stands for agriculture, and blue is for the sea. On the left is a gold olive branch encircled by a wreath, symbolizing peace.
