Description
Show your pride for the North Star State by displaying the new Minnesota flag!
Our Minnesota state flag is manufactured in the US from lightweight, weather-resistant nylon fabric. Nylon’s light weight means your flag will fly gracefully in gentle breezes and dry quickly after rain, helping prevent mildew buildup. The design on our Minnesota flags is created with advanced digital printing technology and UV-resistant inks, resulting in bright, vibrant colors that resist fading from sun exposure.
Minnesota state flags that are 6’ by 10’ or smaller are equipped with a sturdy canvas header and brass grommets for easy attachment to any of our outdoor flagpoles. Larger flags, measuring 8’ by 12’ and up, are finished with nylon rope and thimbles for heavy-duty flying. The 3’ by 5’ flag is our most popular option and an excellent fit for our best-selling 6’ tangle-free pole.

Minnesota State Flag Redesign
In 2022, Minnesota embarked on a journey to redesign its state flag, inviting the public to contribute their creativity in determining the final design. This redesign was driven by a desire to move away from the colonial imagery present in the previous flag. The response was overwhelming, with over 2,100 unique designs submitted. The chosen design was based on a submission by Andrew Prekker, which stood out for its distinctive star symbol and layout. The new state of Minnesota flag became official on May 11, 2024.
Minnesota Flag Meaning
The left side of the MN flag features a dark blue field, with the shape an elegant nod to Minnesota's geographic outline. The light blue field symbolizes the state's rich abundance of lakes, reflecting Minnesota's natural beauty and its nickname, "Land of 10,000 Lakes." The prominent white star is in reference to the North Star, which has been used for navigation in the area for centuries.
