Description

Our Omani flag is constructed in the USA from nylon, a lightweight fabric that flies regally even in gentle breezes. Nylon is also quick-drying, which helps prevent mildew growth after rain. The tricolor, red field, and national emblem are digitally printed for precision and vivid, fade-resistant colors.

These flags come equipped with a sturdy canvas header and brass grommets for secure attachment to an outdoor flagpole. We offer the Omani flag in sizes 2’ x 3’, 3’ x 5’, 4’ x 6’, 5’ x 8’, and 6’ x 10’. Refer to our table of standard flagpole heights and recommended flag size to determine which option best suits your needs.

Oman Flag Features:

  • Official 1995 design
  • 100% durable nylon
  • Robust canvas heading
  • Brass grommets for reliable mounting

Oman Flag Meaning & History

Before 1970, the Sultanate of Oman flag was simply a red field. The Sultan introduced a new design in 1970, which added white and green stripes to the right and the national emblem on the upper left. On April 25, 1995, the red stripe on the right was widened to be the same width as the other two.

Red is a traditional color used on Gulf state flags, while green represents the Jabal al-Akdar, also known as the ‘Green Mountains.’ White symbolizes the role of religion in Oman. The national emblem in the upper left comprises two crossed swords over a curved dagger called a khanjar.
