Description

Represent the Beaver state outside your home, business, or government office by flying our state flag of Oregon!

Each flag is manufactured right here in the United States using high-quality nylon fabric. Nylon is a lightweight, durable material ideal for outdoor flying. Its lightness allows it to fly easily in gentle breezes and to dry quickly after rain, helping prevent mildew growth. Both sides of the flag are digitally printed and sewn, ensuring that this unique state flag’s design is visible from any angle.

Our Oregon state flag comes with a sturdy canvas header and two brass grommets for easy installation on any of our outdoor flagpoles. Flags that measure 8’ x 12’ and up are instead finished with nylon rope and thimbles for increased security. We offer this flag in a wide range of sizes, from 12” x 18” up to 12’ x 18’, including the standard 3’ x 5’. If you aren’t sure which size best suits your setup, take a look at our table of common pole heights and their corresponding flag size.

Oregon Flag Meaning & History

The current Oregon flag was adopted on February 26, 1925. The first flag featuring this design was produced by the department store Meier & Frank and sewn by employees Marjorie Kennedy and Blanche Cox.

On the front side of Oregon’s flag is a portion of the state seal. It contains several references to Oregonian history, such as wagons pulled by oxen, farming tools, and ships. Below is the year 1859, which is when Oregon was admitted to the Union. On the flag's reverse side is a beaver, Oregon’s official state animal.
