Description

Celebrate your home state with our state flag of Pennsylvania, proudly manufactured in the United States.

Each PA state flag is crafted from durable, lightweight nylon, ensuring your flag will wave gracefully in the slightest breeze. Nylon is also quick to dry and resistant to mildew, making it an excellent choice for outdoor use. This flag features a digitally printed design for sharp details and vibrant, UV-resistant colors that resist fading when exposed to direct sunlight.

Each Pennsylvanian flag sized 6’ by 10’ and under is equipped with a heavy-duty canvas header and brass grommets for attaching to any of our outdoor flagpoles. Flags that are 8’ by 12’ and larger are finished with nylon rope and thimbles for increased security. If you’re unsure about the right flag size for your pole, check out our guide on flagpole heights and corresponding flag dimensions.

Pennsylvania Flag Meaning & History

Pennsylvania was the second state to enter the Union in 1787. The symbol in the center of Pennsylvania’s flag is the official state coat of arms. This design, also known as the Pennsylvania colony flag, was authorized by the General Assembly in 1799. Since then, the flag has only been changed once. In 1907, the General Assembly standardized the flag to make the blue background color match the blue of Old Glory

The state seal features a bald eagle in honor of the United States. In the center are a ship, plow, and wheat representing Pennsylvania’s industries. Below are an olive branch and a cornstalk symbolizing peace and prosperity.
