We offer a few options for controlling access to the winching mechanisms on these internal flagpoles, including a traditional lock-and-key system. Another option is an M-winch system, which features a removable handle, ensuring the flag can be raised or lowered only when the handle is installed. The M-winch system offers a low-maintenance solution, with no regular lubrication required.
A benefit of the internal halyard system is that it eliminates the risk of external ropes becoming tangled or caught in the wind, ensuring a seamless, hassle-free flag display. Additionally, internal flag displays are quieter than external ones, on which the flag snaps may bang against the pole with gusts of wind.

Aluminum is a commonly used flagpole material due to its strength and ability to resist corrosion for a long-lasting display. Our aluminum poles are available in four different finishes, allowing you to match the color of your pole to its surroundings. If you’re installing your new pole near a body of saltwater, we recommend choosing one of the anodized finishes to help protect your pole against oxidation.
