Description
Fly the easily recognizable banner of the largest Nordic country with one of our flags of Sweden!
Our Swedish flags are manufactured in America from high-quality, weather-resistant nylon. Nylon is a lightweight fabric, meaning it can fly regally, even in gentle breezes. The iconic blue and yellow design is digitally printed with fade-resistant inks for bright colors that resist sun damage.
The flag of Sweden comes equipped with a canvas heading and brass grommets for use with any of our outdoor flagpoles. We offer Sweden flags in sizes 12” x 18”, 2’ x 3’, 3’ x 5’, 4’ x 6’, 5’ x 8’, and 6’ x 10’. The 3’ by 5’ flag is our most popular size and is an excellent choice for our 6’ tangle-free flagpole.

Sweden Flag Meaning & History
The modern Swedish flag was first adopted on June 22, 1906, but its basic design was written into Swedish law in 1663. Its design is based on the flag of Denmark, which also uses a horizontal cross on a solid-colored background. The colors blue and yellow are likely based on Sweden's national coat of arms from 1442. These national colors can be traced back to the 12th century, when, according to legend, King Eric IX saw a gold cross in the sky. The cross icon represents the long history of Christianity within the region.
Until 1906, the blue background of the Swedish flag was much darker than the version known today. After the dissolution of the union between Sweden and Norway, the specific colors that should be used in the flag were codified in Sweden’s flag law.
