Yemen Flag Meaning & History
The Yemen flag was adopted on May 22, 1990, the day that North and South Yemen unified. Its design is the same as that of the Arab Liberation Flag, which was created during the Egyptian Revolution of 1952.
The red stripe represents unity and martyrdom, white symbolizes the future, and the black stripe stands for dark events of the past.
