Proudly represent your heritage or commemorate past trips with a premium flag of Barbados!

Our Barbados flags are manufactured in America from high-quality nylon fabric, a fray and weather-resistant material. Nylon dries quickly, helping prevent the growth of mildew after rain. Thanks to its lightweight construction, your flag will fly even in gentle breezes. The iconic trident and bold triband colors are digitally printed for a vivid, UV-resistant design.

Each flag of Barbados comes with a sturdy canvas heading and brass grommets for easy and secure display on an outdoor flagpole. Our bestselling 3’ x 5’ flag is an excellent fit for our 6’ house-mounted pole.

Barbados Flag Meaning & History

The national flag of Barbados was adopted on November 30, 1966, when the country achieved independence from the British Empire. The two ultramarine stripes represent the ocean surrounding the island and the sky, while the gold middle stripe symbolizes the sand.

The black trident head in the center is broken off from its staff, signifying Barbados' break from its colonial history and current status as an independent nation. It’s based on the trident of Poseidon, which was also present in Barbados’ colonial coat of arms.
