Woerth It Hollow | Horse Therapy for Veterans

Horse therapy, also known as equine-assisted therapy, is a type of therapy that uses horses to help people with physical, mental, and emotional problems. Horse therapy can be used to help treat conditions such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and addiction.

Horse therapy is a growing trend in the United States. More and more therapeutic riding centers are popping up across the country, and many of them are specifically geared towards helping veterans with their mental and emotional health.

There are a number of different theories about why horse therapy is so effective for treating mental health issues. Some people believe that the horse’s gait is a calming influence on the rider, while others claim that horseback riding helps with communication. Some believe that the horse’s size, strength, and docility make it an ideal companion for those who have been traumatized. Horses are also quite intelligent and can be trained to perform various tricks or tasks, making them ideally suited to help people with autism spectrum disorders. It may be a combination of these elements, or perhaps something else entirely.
