Description
Celebrate the rich history and vibrant culture of the Netherlands with a high-quality Dutch flag, excellent for national holidays, cultural events, or everyday display.
Our Netherlands flags are manufactured in the USA from nylon, a sturdy, durable fabric designed for outdoor display. Nylon’s lightweight construction ensures that your flag will fly gracefully, even in gentle breezes. These flags can also dry quickly after rain and high humidity, helping prevent mildew buildup. The red, white, and blue tricolor is digitally printed with UV-resistant inks for bold and bright colors that resist fading, even when displayed in full sunlight.
Each flag of the Netherlands comes equipped with a strong canvas header and brass grommets for easy installation on an outdoor flagpole. We offer this flag in various sizes. If you aren’t sure which option is right for you, check out our table of common flagpole heights and their recommended flag sizes. The 3’ by 5’ Dutch flag is our bestselling option and an excellent fit for our 6’ tangle-free pole.

Netherlands Flag Meaning & History
The current design of the Dutch flag dates back to the 16th century. In 1575, the first national flag of the Netherlands featured an almost identical tricolor design. However, the top stripe was originally orange, but it was replaced with red in 1596. The Dutch national flag is one of the oldest tricolor flags in the world, inspiring similar flags such as those of France and Russia. The current design of the Netherlands flag was finalized when its colors were standardized in 1949.
Each colored stripe has a particular meaning. The red stripe represents valor and bravery, the white stripe signifies peace and honesty, and the blue stripe symbolizes truth and justice.
Fly your Dutch flags on public holidays, like King's Day (April 27), at half-staff for Remembrance of the Dead (May 4), and jubilantly on Liberation Day (May 5).
