Description
Show your love for Nova Scotia by flying the province’s flag outside your home or business! This flag is constructed out of 100% nylon, a fray-resistant and tough fabric that dries quickly, helping prevent mildew growth after rain and wet weather.
Our Nova Scotia flag is digitally printed with UV-resistant inks to minimize fading during outdoor or indoor use. The central shield and saltire are drawn using bold, vivid colors and precise details for a stunning visual display.
Each flag comes equipped with a durable canvas header and brass grommets for easy installation on one of our outdoor flagpoles. We offer the flag for Nova Scotia in the standard size of 3’ by 5’, which is an excellent fit for our best-selling 6’ tangle-free pole.

Nova Scotia Flag History & Meaning
The flag of Nova Scotia is based on its coat of arms, which was granted in 1625 by King Charles I. On January 19, 1929, King George V reinstated the coat of arms, which had been briefly replaced by an unpopular design. The flag, which uses the design from inside the shield on the coat of arms, would not be officially recorded in Nova Scotia’s legislature until 2013.
This flag’s design combines two different pieces of Scottish iconography. The background is an inverse of St. Andrew’s Cross, which forms Scotland’s national flag. In the center is a red lion on a yellow shield, a traditional Scottish heraldic symbol, which is sometimes also displayed as a flag.
