Alberta Flag Meaning & History
The flag of Alberta was officially adopted on June 1, 1968. On the dark blue background is the shield from the province’s coat of arms. At the top of the shield is a Cross of St. George in reference to England. Below is a mountain range, shown behind a prairie and wheat field, which are all common sights in Alberta’s landscape.
