Description
Our Andorra flags are proudly manufactured in the United States from nylon, a lightweight fabric that flies easily, even in gentle breezes. Additionally, nylon is quick-drying, helping prevent mildew growth after rain. The iconic tricolor and national coat of arms are digitally printed for bright, fade-resistant colors.
Each flag comes finished with a sturdy canvas heading and brass grommets for secure mounting on any of our outdoor flagpoles. We carry the flag of Andorra in sizes 2’ x 3’, 3’ x 5’, 4’ x 6’, 5’ x 8’, and 6’ x 10’. Andorra Flag Meaning & History
The flag of Andorra, consisting of a blue, yellow, and red tricolor with the national coat of arms at the center, reflects the country's history and its ties to France and Spain. The tricolor design and blue stripe are based on France’s national flag, while the yellow and red stripes are inspired by the flag of Catalonia, a region in Spain.
The coat of arms, shaped as a shield, includes symbols representing the Bishop of Urgell and the Count of Foix, who in 1278 founded the microstate. The shield is divided into four sections. On the upper left, a bishop’s hat represents the Bishop of Urgell, and red and yellow stripes for the Count of Foix are on the right.
Underneath, on the left side, are additional yellow and red stripes, which stand for Catalonia. The two red cows to its right symbolize the Viscounts of Béarn, rulers of a region in southwest France.
