History and Symbolism of the Christian Flag
This flag was designed in the early 20th century and officially adopted in 1942. It represents Christianity as a whole and not any specific denomination. The design includes a white field, a blue canton, and a red Latin cross. The red stands for the saving blood of Jesus, the white symbolizes His purity, and the blue represents the waters of baptism.
Pledge to the Christian Flag
The Christian flag pledge, written by Methodist minister Lynn Harold Hough, is as follows:
"I pledge allegiance to the Christian flag and to the Saviour for whose kingdom it stands; one brotherhood, uniting all mankind in service and in love."
