Description
This flag of Syria is manufactured in the USA from nylon, a durable and weather-resistant fabric. Nylon is lightweight, meaning it can fly regally in gentle winds and dry quickly after rain. The tricolor design and green stars are digitally printed for precision and bold colors that are fade-resistant, even when flown in direct sunlight.
Our Syrian flags are equipped with a sturdy canvas heading and brass grommets for secure attachment to any standard outdoor flagpole. If you aren’t sure which flag size is right for you, take a look at our table of standard pole heights and their proportional flag size.

Syria Flag Meaning & History
The current national flag of Syria was first used in 1958 to represent the United Arab Republic, which included Syria and Egypt. It was replaced in 1961 when Syria seceded from the union and re-adopted on March 30, 1980.
Red, white, black, and green are all pan-Arab colors, each symbolizing a different Arab dynasty from history. Red is for the Hashemites, white is for the Umayyad, green is for the Fatimid, and black is for the Abbasid. The flag features two stars since it initially represented a union between Syria and Egypt.
