Description
Proudly represent the South American country of Colombia by flying a high-quality, weather-resistant flag!
Our Colombian flags are made in the United States using nylon fabric, a lightweight material that flies gracefully even in gentle breezes. Nylon’s lightness also allows it to dry quickly after becoming wet from rain or humidity, helping prevent mildew growth. The iconic tricolor is digitally printed with UV-resistant inks for vivid, bright colors that resist fading due to sun damage.
Each Colombian flag comes equipped with a sturdy canvas heading and brass grommets for easy attachment to an outdoor flagpole. We offer the flag of Colombia in multiple sizes; look at our table of flagpole heights and their recommended flag size to help you decide which option best suits your needs.

Colombia Flag Meaning & History
The national flag of Colombia was adopted on November 26, 1861. Colombia’s flag symbolizes independence, which several other South American countries, such as Ecuador and Venezuela, achieved from Spain on July 20, 1810.
The modern flag’s design is based on Francisco de Miranda’s flag of Gran Colombia, a state that existed from 1819 to 1831 and was led by Simón Bolívar. Miranda’s choice of primary colors was inspired by a conversation with German writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe about the nature of light and human vision.
The colors on the Colombia country flag have specific meanings: Yellow represents wealth, gold, and the sun, blue represents the skies and seas of Colombia, and red symbolizes the blood spilled and the struggle of the Colombian people for independence.
