The Ecuadorian flag has a robust canvas header and brass grommets for easy attachment to any of our outdoor flagpoles. We offer this flag in sizes 12” x 18”, 2’ x 3’, 3’ x 5’, 4’ x 6’, 5’ x 8’, and 6’ x 10’. The 3’ x 5’ flag of Ecuador is the most popular among our customers and is a great fit for our 6’ house-mounted pole.

Ecuador Flag Meaning & History

Ecuador’s flag is based on the flag of Gran Colombia, a country that combined the modern nations of Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, and Venezuela. The first time the double-wide yellow, blue, and red flag was adopted was in 1819 as Gran Colombia’s national flag. It was officially adopted as Ecuador’s flag in 1835 and updated in 1860 and 1900.

In the center is the national coat of arms, which depicts the mountain Chimborazo and the Guayas River inside an oval. The steamship shown on the river represents trade and the country’s economy. The condor above the oval symbolizes Ecuador’s power and strength.
