Description
Represent your favorite state with a premium, American-made flag of South Carolina!
Our South Carolina state flag is manufactured in the United States from weather-resistant nylon fabric for outdoor use. The nylon fabric is lightweight, ensuring the flag flies even in light breezes, and it's quick-drying to help prevent mildew buildup. The flag's design, featuring the iconic Palmetto tree and crescent, is digitally printed with UV-resistant inks to minimize fading caused by sun exposure.
Our flag for South Carolina is available in multiple sizes, ranging from the tiny 12” by 18” to the gigantic 12’ by 18’, with our 3’ by 5’ size being a customer favorite. Flags sized 6’ by 10’ and under come outfitted with a strong canvas header and brass grommets for easy, secure mounting on any of our outdoor flagpoles. The 8’ by 12’ flags and larger are instead equipped with sturdy nylon rope and thimbles for added security.

South Carolina Flag Meaning & History
South Carolina was one of the 13 original British colonies and was the eighth state to join the United States in 1788. However, the state flag of South Carolina dates back even earlier than that. A direct design lineage can be traced to 1775 and Colonel William Moultrie’s “Liberty” flag, designed as a standard for South Carolina’s militia troops defending Charleston during the American Revolutionary War.
Moultrie’s crescent has remained part of the South Carolina flag ever since. The palmetto tree was added in 1861 to refer to the palmetto trees that assisted in Moultrie’s defense of Sullivan Island.
