Description
Celebrate the North Star State with this historical Minnesota state flag. Each flag comes finished with a durable canvas header and brass grommets for easy flying from an outdoor flagpole.
Our historical Minnesota state flags are crafted from lightweight yet sturdy nylon. Nylon’s lightness allows this flag to dry quickly after rain to prevent mildew growth and fly in gentle breezes. The digitally printed design ensures vibrant and lasting colors and makes it resistant to fading caused by prolonged exposure to sunlight, thanks to its UV-resistant properties.

Historical State Flag of Minnesota History
Minnesota’s original flag was designed by Amelia Hyde Center in 1893. This flag featured a white field bearing the state seal, the name of the state, and nineteen stars since Minnesota was the 19th state to join the union. The other side of the flag was plain blue. This flag was seldom used due to manufacturing difficulties involving quality.
A new design was established in 1957, where the central design appeared on both sides of the flag. In 1983, modifications were made to the state seal, so the flag had to change again. This flag remained the state flag until 2024, when a new Minnesota flag was chosen by the State Emblem Redesign Commission.
