Flag & Flagpole Recommendations
Three different flagpole heights are available: 7’, 8’, and 9’. The 7’ and 8’ poles are paired with a 3’ by 5’ flag, while the 9’ tall pole uses a 4’ by 6’ flag. We recommend choosing a pole at least one foot shorter than the ceiling height in the presentation area.

Proper Display Method
From the observer's perspective, the US Armed Forces branch flags should be displayed from left to right. The American flag is displayed first, followed by the Army flag, Marine Corps flag, Navy flag, Air Force flag, Space Force flag, and Coast Guard flag. The US Department of Defense established the guideline for the order of precedence for these flags.
Army History Lesson
The United States Army is a major branch of the United States Armed Forces. The Army makes up almost all of the ground forces within the American military.
The Continental Army was first organized by the Second Continental Congress on June 14, 1775, during the early months of the American Revolution. It consisted of 22,000 troops in Boston and 5,000 troops in New York.
In 1776, the Continental Congress established a single standing force directly raised from all the colonies. This was the beginning of the regular Army. Although it took many wars to become fully established, the Army is the oldest branch of the United States Armed Forces.
